Overview

For travellers who want to see it all without compromise. Begin with Cairo and Giza, then fly south to board a dahabiya on the Nile, cruising from Luxor to Aswan with stops at the Valley of the Kings, Karnak, Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Abu Simbel. A short internal flight takes you to the Red Sea for two nights of world-class snorkelling before a desert drive back to Cairo via the White Desert and Bahariya Oasis. One constant: your personal Egyptologist and private vehicles throughout.

    Giza Plateau & Egyptian Museum

    Private Pyramids and Sphinx visit before dawn; Egyptian Museum in the afternoon including the Tutankhamun collection.

    Islamic Cairo & Coptic Quarter

    Medieval mosques, markets, and the ancient Coptic churches of Old Cairo.

    Fly Luxor — Karnak by Night

    Domestic flight to Luxor. Afternoon at Karnak; evening Sound & Light Show (optional).

    West Bank — Valley of the Kings

    Valley of the Kings (4 tombs), Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon. Board dahabiya.

    Sailing South — Esna & Edfu

    Morning at Esna Temple, afternoon at the perfectly preserved Temple of Edfu.

    Kom Ombo & Aswan

    Twin temple at Kom Ombo; arrival in Aswan by evening.

    Aswan — Philae & Quarries

    Philae Temple, High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk. Optional felucca sunset sail.

    Dawn flight to Abu Simbel. Return to Aswan by noon. Fly to Hurghada.

    Liveaboard dive day or leisure at the resort. Optional PADI Discover Scuba.

    Drive to Cairo via White Desert

    Desert drive west into Bahariya Oasis, through the White Desert to a luxury tented camp.

    White Desert — Return Cairo

    Dawn photography, drive back to Cairo, traditional farewell dinner.
